Back in August Design Fusions announced that we would be giving away a website worth up to £1,000 in a new competition which was advertised solely on Twitter and Facebook. The time has now come to announce the winner… and the winner is…

Chris Hillman of Hillman Carpentry

Chris visited our website when he was looking for a web design company to put together a new website for him. He saw on our homepage that we were giving away a website worth £1,000 and decided to enter our competition in the hope that he would save himself some hard earned cash.

Chris’ entry was chosen at random from over 500 entrants who had either ‘retweeted’ our competition message or ‘liked’ us on Facebook.

We received a great response to this competition not only from those who entered but also from the local media including The Portsmouth News who wrote an article on their website and in the newspaper, Startup TV Magazine, Invest in Portsmouth and Portsmouth University. As a result of this nice little bit of publicity we were contacted by lots of potential new clients, so many thanks.

We have put together a design for Chris which exceeds anything that he expected even if he was paying for a new site. We are in the development stages of Chris’ new site and hope to have it live in a couple of weeks, but here is a sneak peek.

We also ran our own little in-house competition which involved guessing the number of entries. The total number exceeded all of our expectations, however, the closest guess came from James. The prize being a selection of beautiful cup cakes decorated in the Design Fusions colours from Sophie’s Cakery in Portsmouth. These were shared around the office and not just for James.
