Title: Digital Design Manager

Salary: £33,000 – £40,000 per annum. 28 Days Holiday per year (Including Public Holidays)

Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm

Report to: Company Directors

What we want:

We are looking for an experienced Digital Design Manager or a Senior Web Designer looking for a new challenge and the next step in their career path. Heading up the in-house design team, you will be an integral part in the success of a wide range of new and exciting Internet ventures. You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience within a fast paced digital agency or similar. You will work with everyone in the company from Marketing Managers through to Business Development Managers and you will report directly to the CEO and Technical and Marketing Directors. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to put their creative mark on a company whilst being involved in the company progression and development. We are looking for someone that can hit the ground running and adapt quickly to a unique environment. A genuine passion for all things digital is a must.

What you’ll do:

• Liaise daily with the in-house marketing and development teams to oversee the progress of internal web projects
• Oversee assigned design tasks to make sure that they meet strict deadlines
• Use Project Management and Resource Management techniques and software to ensure that projects are achieved on time and to the highest possible standards
• Educate other members of the team on how to work with the design team
• Use an agile approach to motivate your team, inspire ideas and encourage an open culture
• Prioritise your team and your own workflow whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Increase productivity through efficient processes

What you need:

• Excellent knowledge of using a Mac and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experienced in Project Management techniques and processes
• The ability to assess the company process on projects and suggest and implement new methods
• Previous experience in managing a small design team whilst remaining hands on with design related tasks
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS in a LAMP environment
• Excellent knowledge of design with a particular focus on web design including latest trends
• Be hard working and prepared to go beyond the call of duty when required
• You should be able to come up with creative ideas with your team from what can sometimes be one-line briefs
• An ability to communicate with Web Developers at a technical level
• A healthy sense of humour
